I couldn't get the 'When did you go' to put in a date later than 2019. We loved hiking the Little Sanie River and enjoying the flowers in bloom. The sites were very primitive then. Buck's Pocket was renovated and reopened June 15, 2020. The pictures of the new RV sites look great. The Alabama State Parks has implemented operational changes at Buck’s Pocket State Park. Vehicular traffic is open to the Point Rock scenic overlook and the Morgan Cove boat ramp as normal. The campground is currently closed to campers, but open as a walk in day use area only. The campground bathrooms have been closed.This state park has seen better days, and the Alabama State Park budget crunch was apparent. But try it anyway, Buck's Pocket is worth the visit for the land, if not the campsites. The campsites are actually alright, basically what you expect at a state park campground.
